Tasting Australia is a premier food event recently held in Adelaide from 26th April until 3rd May 2012. There were many events held throughout the week including a VIP function attended by media and celebrity chefs at the InterContinental, which included the assistance of eighteen Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor and Masters Students. The students looked very professional in their uniforms and took the specially prepared food around to all attending guests. This was a great opportunity for students to meet many idols, from food critic and MasterChef judge Matt Preston, to the professor behind Heston Blumenthal's 'Sounds of the Sea', Professor Charles Spence.
The new Le Cordon Bleu Culinary students also had a great opportunity during Tasting Australia with four students working in the InterContinental kitchen for the Best of British Dinner. This British themed dinner featured multi-award winner chefs and restaurateurs: Mark Hix, Matthew Kemp, Jeremy Strode, and Simon Bryant. Two other culinary students travelled to Kangaroo Island to help with its Tasting Australia event, the KI Seafood Festival.
