For 130 years Le Cordon Bleu has helped shape the careers of some of the best chefs and food enthusiasts around the world. Regularly offering scholarship competitions each year, 2025 will focus on Le Cordon Bleu’s most prestigious programme: the Grand Diplôme®.

The prize will also include an internship at CORD by Le Cordon Bleu restaurant and some incredible prizes, including mentoring from Michel Roux and Chris Galvin, an overnight-stay at The Savoy and 12 months accommodation from Londonist.

Michel Roux commented on his involvment in the Scholarship, “I am delighted to be a part of the Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship and help nurture the culinary talent of the future. The competition offers a life-changing opportunity for an aspiring chef to gain valuable training and industry experience, and a secure foothold on the first step of their career in hospitality.”

This Scholarship follows the success of the Julia Child Scholarship and Wine Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu, providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who has a passion for the culinary arts and aspires for a career in the culinary hospitality industry.

Le Cordon Bleu London is searching for some of the country’s most passionate culinary enthusiasts – regardless of age, location or background – giving them the chance to follow their dreams and aspirations, learning from Le Cordon Bleu London's Master Chefs and interning under the kitchen team at CORD by Le Cordon Bleu, lead by Executive Chef Karl O'Dell

The Prize

Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to the most passionate culinary enthusiast living in the United Kingdom.

The 2025 winner will be awarded a place on our prestigious Grand Diplôme®, with an exclusive internship placement at CORD by Le Cordon Bleu, the first fine dining restaurant in London from Le Cordon Bleu. Combined, the 12-month programme comprises the 9-month cuisine & pastry diploma and a 3-month internship.

The prize includes mentoring from Michel Roux and Chris Galvin, 12 months accommodation from Londonist during the winner's studies and an overnight stay at The Savoy.

Celebrating our 130th anniversary this year we've allocated even more prizes, with second runner-up receiving a place on our Basic Cuisine or Basic Patisserie 3-month programme, and third runner-up a place on our Summer Essentials course. Both runners-ups will also receive a 2-week internship at Cord restaurant and special prizes from The Savoy, Louis Latour and Phaidon.

How to apply

Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship is open to everyone who is lawfully a resident in United Kingdom. You need to be at least 18 years old and make sure you read and understand our terms and conditions before applying.

Please fill in the form via the link below to apply. You will need a to provide your full name, address, date of birth, current occupation, a copy of your CV/resumé and confirmation you have the right to study and work in the UK.

In addition, please prepare answers to the following questions:

  • Why do you want to study culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu London?
  • What do you love about the culinary arts the most?
  • Where did your love of culinary arts come from and when did it first develop?
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years time if you are successfully selected for the Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship?
