Le Cordon Bleu students at the 2018 Omnivore Festival

Omnivore
January 2018, Paris - Le Cordon Bleu, the leading Global Network of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institutes, is delighted to announce its participation, for the 7th consecutive year, to the Omnivore Festival, which will take place at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris, from 4 to 6 March 2018.

Ever since it was launched, in September 2003, Omnivore has been dedicated to showcasing Young French and international cuisine. The Omnivore World Tour is the leading global cuisine festival, bringing together international and local chefs to create a movement and an international culinary exchange.

Pedagogical innovation is firmly rooted in Le Cordon Bleu institute’s DNA. The curriculum includes the evolutions in ingredients, techniques and kitchen equipment, which shape the Culinary Arts, and the trends which influence standards in the restaurant industry. Le Cordon Bleu institutes, which can be found in every corner of the globe, always teach French culinary techniques, but also provide students with the means with which to highlight international culinary heritage.

As part of a 3 day educational project, around thirty Le Cordon Bleu students will provide support to chefs giving culinary demonstrations at the festival. Supervised by Chef Instructors Franck Poupard and Williams Caussimon, this experience enables students to practise their skills in different areas and get the most out of this annual meeting, which is an unmissable event for both individuals in the profession and those with a passion for cuisine.

This year, participating Le Cordon Bleu students will be present on the following stages :

On Tuesday 6th March from 12h20 to 13h05, Chef Briffard will participate in the conference “A chef in the suburbs’’ and will highlight that those involved in gastronomy are committed to helping the community. He will focus on “training and teaching’’, an everyday engagement in both his daily personal and professional life at Le Cordon Bleu Paris.

200 students from the Institute are also invited to visit this year’s event.
