Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide Welcome and Networking

Culinary and Bachelor Students get to know each other over drinks and canapes.

On Friday, 3rd February La Rambla Spanish Tapas Bar in Peel St, Adelaide, played host for another of our Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide Welcome and Networking Events.  The event was for our new and continuing culinary students to mingle with staff and students alike, in an informal setting.  There were 70 guests in attendance and no one went hungry with plenty of Spanish tapas to enjoy.

Students were treated to a short presentation by Le Cordon Bleu’s Academic Manager, Shannon Hall, where he interviewed Kyle Young, one of La Rambla’s co-owners.  Kyle provided fantastic and invaluable insight to running a business, and provided some very relevant and useful advice to our culinary students.

The following week, on Friday 10th February, our Bachelor students enjoyed their own Welcome and Networking Event at The Gallery in Waymouth St, Adelaide.  In a slightly different format to the culinary event, there was a short awards ceremony where bronze and silver pins were presented to eligible students in recognition of their academic journey.  In addition to this, the Le Cordon Bleu Diplôme Culinaire d’Hotelier was also awarded to students who have completed Stages 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Business degree programs.  The final award to be presented was the Meritorious Award, acknowledging academic excellence in the Bachelor of Business programs.  The recipient of this award was also gifted a $3000 scholarship towards their continuing Le Cordon Bleu Australia Bachelor of Business program.

Congratulations to our award recipients!

Upon conclusion of the award ceremony, 75 staff and students were invited to mingle and celebrate their achievements with some canapes and drinks.

Certainly two fantastic events, enjoyed by all!
