Café Le Cordon Bleu is supporting Action Against Hunger

Café Le Cordon Bleu is supporting Action Against Hunger in their vision of a world without hunger.

During September and October, Café Le Cordon Bleu’s customers will be given the opportunity to add a small donation to their bill in order to support the charity, Action Against Hunger and their Love Food Give Food campaign.

Hundreds of restaurants across the UK will be participating in the appeal along with some well-known chefs including Raymond Blanc and Alfred Prasad, who recently assisted Chef Colin Westal in our latest Great British Chef Masterclass.

Action Against Hunger’s vision of a world without hunger is the motivation behind the Love Food Give Food campaign. Across the world right now there are 52 million children under five that are suffering from acute malnutrition, there are 2.5 billion people that do not have access to basic sanitation and there are 783 million people who cannot access clean water. Our participation in this amazing campaign will hopefully help to eradicate this global crisis by raising funds in the fight against hunger.

Culinary Arts Director, Chef Emil Minev says, “We are really proud to be supporting such a great charity that does so much work to help those around the world who are less fortunate than ourselves. To think that such a small donation from our Café’s customers will make such a big difference to the futures of so many hungry children is such an amazing prospect.”

Café Le Cordon Bleu offers a wide range of artisan breads, French patisseries, viennoiseries, gourmet sandwiches as well as daily specials. The Café creates exciting new products inspired by the changing seasons, with the help of our talented Teaching Chefs. If you purchase any of these treats from the Café during the next two months you will be helping to provide access to safe water for vulnerable communities. Your donation will also be helping families in some of the world’s poorest countries to feed themselves and their children for generations to come.

So if you love food, then why not treat yourself to something at Café Le Cordon Bleu and help to give food to millions of malnourished children around the world.
