Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, represented by some of its chef professors and part of its team, travelled to Benhavís (Málaga) to collaborate in the 6th edition of this solidarity initiative organized by Lima Comunicación. The Institute arranged a circuit of cooking workshops that aimed to teach 150 participating children that "Eating healthy is fun". To achieve this, they brought together a total of 55 Michelin-starred Spanish chefs in a gastronomic meeting created to transmit the importance of eating healthy from childhood.
In this edition, ChefsForChildren collaborated with Autismo España to support children with autism and their families, with the main mission of promoting the claim and effective exercise of their rights, by favouring their quality of life and achieving equal opportunities.
Before the workshops, a press conference was held where chefs, sponsors, and collaborators participated. The General Manager of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, Rosario Barrios, emphasised the importance of the final objective of this event: "to teach children to have a healthy and natural relationship with food". She also explained how children from Autismo España, who attended the workshops held at the Institute on February 26th, "taught us to enjoy cooking and filled the kitchens with smiles".
The event closed with a solidarity gala dinner consisting of an exclusive tasting menu, prepared by Michelin-starred chefs from Málaga.
