Then read on, as we have put together some helpful information on how to make these goals a reality in the fields of Cuisine, Pastry and Boulangerie!
Now is the time to stand out and think out-of-the-box. What can you do as a restaurant or cafe owner/manager to retain or attract employees? What can you do as an unemployed worker to get back in workforce? Most importantly, how can you get financial help to achieve this?
Studying our 3 to 9 months Cuisine, Pastry or Boulangerie programmes is a step in the right direction. We are pleased to announce that Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa's culinary diploma programmes are eligible to receive Canada-Ontario Job Grant, Second Career Ontario Grant, and Second Career Funding for Canadian Veterans.
Here are a few exciting funding options that you or your business might be eligible for:
Canada-Ontario Job Grant Government covers 1/2 of direct training costs for large employers and 5/6 for small employers. Up to $10,000 per trainee. May qualify for 100% funding and up to $15,000 per trainee if a small employer (fewer than 100 employees) hires and trains unemployed individuals. Grant is given to the employer so that employee can pursue their studies.

Better Jobs Ontario Grant Up to $28,000 Grant is given to people who were laid off during COVID_19 to help pay for tuition and living expenses if they retrain for new careers.

Canadian Veterans Second Career Funding Up tp $60,000 Education and Training Benefit (ETB) administrated by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). The ETB provides eligible veterans with funding to help them achieve their education goals.
