Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand recently held a Strawberry themed High Tea Fundraiser as part of the Mary Potter Hospice Strawberry Festival. The festival is held once a year to fundraise and raise awareness for the organisation who provides specialist palliative care free of charge to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families/whanau in Wellington.
Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand Patisserie Chefs created a Strawberry themed High Tea Menu for the event. The festival is strawberry themed because strawberries celebrate life – they’re a superfood and a symbol of summer.
Patisserie students gained valuable real-time experience during the event while supporting a great cause and for every 175 tickets sold $5 was donated to the organisation.
