Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide is excited to announce a special collaboration with the Adelaide Central Market to celebrate France’s national holiday, Bastille Day.
On Friday, July 12, as part of the market’s two-day festivities, renowned chef lecturer Bhu Chung will take to the community kitchen stage for a demonstration on how to construct a show-stopping madeleine tower.
Chef Bhu – who has cooked for notable figures such as the Dalai Lama – will lead on-lookers through a step-by-step cooking demonstration on creating these uniquely French cakes, showcasing the precision and artistry synonymous with French patisserie.
"We are thrilled to partner with Adelaide Central Market to commemorate Bastille Day,” Chef Bhu says. "It's an opportunity for us to share our passion for French culinary techniques and celebrate the cultural richness of French cuisine with the community."
Market-goers will not only have the chance to witness Chef Bhu’s expertise firsthand, but indulge in samples of the delectable madeleine tower. The Bastille Day cooking demonstration promises to bring the flavours and traditions of French cuisine to life, all while celebrating culinary excellence and cultural exchange in a vibrant setting.
