Our General Manger, Jenny Jenkins, has spent 2 weeks touring the south of the Indian subcontinent.
The journey was initiated by the annual ICEF South Asia 2025 conference, which was held in Goa, India from the 6th to 8th of February. The highly popular ICEF event offers the unique opportunity to connect with top quality, ICEF-screened student recruitment agents from across India and other South Asian countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. 281 organisations were present from 27 countries. These agents are both valued business partners to educators and trusted advisors to the thousands of students across the region who wish to study abroad.

ICEF events provide a programme of live seminars, presentations and panel discussions, featuring experts from across the industry. This is a unique opportunity to gain up-to-date information and news on the latest market trends and issues currently affecting student recruitment from South Asia. The two days are nonstop opportunities to strengthen and forge connections. Thanks to the input from education partners in past ICEF events, we had the pleasure to begin preliminary consultation for our Master of Hospitality Management Applied (MHMA). While yet to be accredited by NZQA our faculty have been developing the programme for some time, with the final stages nearing completion it was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and positivity shown by the industry. Expect more details on the MHMA soon.
Having travelled such a long distance from Wellington to Goa, Jenny, with the help of the Le Cordon Bleu’s Hub India team, spent a further 5 days visiting hospitality institutes and close agents across the region. It would not have been possible to fully maximise the potential of the trip without the help from Eshna and her team at Hub India. With a Master’s programme on the horizon and an optimistic future for student immigration to New Zealand, the global 130th anniversary of Le Cordon Bleu is set to be a positive step forward for the New Zealand campus.
