New Short Courses: In Celebration of 130 years of Le Cordon Bleu


Across the globe our network of culinary training institutes, alumni, and close partners are joining us in celebrating a new milestone; 130 years of culinary excellence. 

Le Cordon Bleu has grown tremendously since its humble origins as the publication ‘La Cuisinière Cordon Bleu’, a magazine that was born to encourage women to enter the culinary world. 130 years on, we continue to inspire the world to foster their passion for cuisine and pâtisserie.

Here in Wellington, we are kicking off our celebrations by providing a collection of short courses and events. With our renovations completed last year, we have never had a better opportunity to offer our students and the wider community a taste of Le Cordon Bleu. Later in the year we will be hosting multiple alumni gatherings and events for our graduates throughout New Zealand, as well as demonstrations for potential new students. Junior Chef Workshop

22nd February

Our first workshop of the year is made to foster a culinary curiosity and potentially ignite a lifelong passion. Designed for children 8-12 years old, you will spend half a day under the guidance of an expert chef in this light-hearted introduction to the culinary arts.

Mastering Sauces Workshop

1st March

Sauces are the foundation of French gastronomy, in this course, our Le Cordon Bleu Master Chef will lead you through the preparation of a number of classic and modern variations. Perfect for anyone who wants to enhance the flavour and aroma of their creations.

Bread Fundamentals Workshop

8th March

This full day workshop provides an opportunity to learn the art of making speciality breads from a Le Cordon Bleu Master Chef. Suitable for amateurs and those curious about the secrets to perfecting multiple types of bread.

We now offer a selection of venue hire and function packages, make use of our state-of-the-art facilities and tailor them to your needs. We have proudly hosted embassy cooking competitions, special restaurant services, and fun team building exercises. There isn’t anywhere else in the country that can offer the experiences our campus was purpose built for.
