Le Cordon Bleu Madrid celebrates its first graduation of the year with chef Benito Gómez as its godfather

On March 27th, Le Cordon Bleu Madrid held the graduation ceremony for its first graduating class of the year. This class consisted of students from the disciplines of Cuisine, Pastry, and Spanish Cuisine, and they were honoured to have Benito Gómez as their godfather.

Although Benito was born in Barcelona, he has made Ronda his home and achieved professional success there. With Bardal, his restaurant, he has managed to establish himself among the most outstanding chefs in Spain. In 2017, the restaurant was awarded the Best Restaurant of Malaga by the Gastronomic Academy of Malaga. The following year, it received international recognition with its first Michelin star, and a second star followed in 2019.

During his speech, the godfather addressed the students, expressing his passion for the culinary profession, encouraging them to pursue their work with the heart while maintaining balance and enjoying their chosen path in gastronomy. Talent, training and balance were the concepts that Benito highlighted to the students to embrace such a beautiful profession: cooking.

This celebration marked the conclusion of the first graduation of a very special year, in which Le Cordon Bleu celebrates its 130th anniversary.
