We are pleased to announce the launch of our highly anticipated 2019 Julia Child Scholarship. Year by year, we provide a unique platform for aspiring culinary entrepreneurs to train at Le Cordon Bleu. For this year’s scholarship, we will offer a place on our Diplôme de Pâtisserie followed by the Diploma in Culinary Management. Alongside their studies, the winner will also experience first hand what it is like to work in a high-end kitchen with work experience at the iconic London landmark and 5-star hotel, The Savoy. The respected scholarship worth over £40,000, is an aid to support the life and career of one of the UK’s most passionate and driven individuals who want to start a career in the thriving food industry. The prize will go to someone with a positive attitude and great business acumen.
In addition, the winner will be fortunate enough to have mentoring sessions with some of our successful alumni Luiz Hara, Georgia Green, Dhruv Mittal and Evelina Ogorzalek and business-oriented advice from The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). The winner will stay in a luxury London accommodation for the full 12-months of study, which will be provided by Londonist. The winner will be given tickets to The Business Show, a host of business events where you will be in the company of guests from premium businesses and expert suppliers with masterclasses and world-class speakers.
The runners-up will be given prizes from the famous manufacturers Churchill and Zwilling. A panel of Chefs and industry professionals will decide the winner and the iconic Le Cordon Bleu alumna Mary Berry will present the winner their award. Applicants must be a UK citizen to apply for the Julia Child Scholarship.
