The Alumni who participated are currently managing their successful restaurants/ cafes all over in Malaysia. The support was tremendous as we saw Alumni who came all the way from Singapore, Ipoh and Penang.

Chua Tor Aik (TC) (right) our first top student who now heads the kitchen of the 3 Michelin Star restaurant Zen in Singapore came back to give an inspiring address to our graduates.

Datin Su Wai Fun (left), one of our most prominent adult student who joined the Diplôme De Cuisine programme 10 years ago was also present to tell her story on how the experience had helped her in assessing dishes presented in the International Gastronomic Festivals (a platform to showcase hotel restaurants and stand-alone restaurant Chefs)  whom she and her husband Dato Steve Day had organised for 18 years. The legacy of the Institute certainly attributes to the success of its Alumni who had return to give great testimonies to all present at this memorable occasion.

sarju chocolate birthday cake
Chef Sarju Ranavaya baked a 1 meter tall Birthday cake to commemorate this special occasion.

But most of all, this Anniversary shows that the legacy of Le Cordon Bleu culinary programs is the Grand Dame and is still relevant in this modern day and age of new trends and innovation in the world of Gastronomy.

Sunway Le Cordon Bleu has raised the bar in culinary education in Malaysia and we are certain to see that in the next 10 years to come, Kuala Lumpur could be the “Paris of South East Asia”.
