Enjoy a Culinary Excursion to the West Indies with Babette de Rozières
Babette de Rozières, the famous Guadeloupean chef and well-known ambassador of West Indian cuisine, is currently running a series of culinary workshops at our new Hôtel de la Marine site, overlooking Place de la Concorde in the heart of Paris. This initiative is underpinned by a desire to share the eclectic flavours of Creole food in a prestigious and historic setting.
The Hôtel de la Marine is renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history, making it the perfect backdrop for this kind of event. Having become Le Cordon Bleu’s second Parisian address back in November 2023, it hosts short culinary workshops, masterclasses and tea time workshops for anyone who’s passionate or simply curious about cuisine, pastry and even wine.
The venue is currently the stage for Babette de Rozières’ Creole Cuisine Masterclasses. Each 3-hour session gives participants the opportunity to discover authentic recipes, passionately shared by Babette, who prides herself on always making West Indian produce the star of the show.
Under her expert guidance, Masterclass participants prepare some truly iconic Creole dishes, including Martinican avocado féroce, West Indian pink sea bream, and Guadeloupean eggnog. Babette not only shares her culinary techniques and tips but also tells the story behind each dish, guaranteeing an enriching and immersive experience for all.
These workshops are, indeed, so much more than simple cooking classes they are a fun and interactive experience. Babette de Rozières’ charismatic personality and infectious enthusiasm encourages participation and discussion throughout, making each session thoroughly unique. Besides acquiring new culinary skills, participants head off home with a deep respect and greater appreciation for West Indian culture.
Running these Le Cordon Bleu workshops at the Hôtel de la Marine further cements Babette de Rozières’ ongoing commitment to shine a light on Creole gastronomy while celebrating her roots, and the exceptional venue is the perfect place to bring foodies from all walks of life together for an experience that’s deliciously fun.
