Five Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne students have claimed several victories across three competitions, recently held in Victoria. These achievements highlight the dedication and talent of our students who continue to excel in the competitive world of culinary arts and sciences.
At the AUSTAFE cooking competition on July 3, two of Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne’s cuisine students made their mark.
Yuran Zhong, currently immersed in his Work Integrated Learning placement, and superior cuisine student Leo Sun both claimed bronze medals.
The challenge tasked participants with preparing a French omelette alongside an entrée and main course featuring chicken.
In another impressive feat, Nguyễn Hồng Anh (Hana) – an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management student – clinched a silver medal at the Nestlé Golden Chefs Hat Award competition held last week.

Hana's culinary prowess was tested as she crafted a main course incorporating chicken, as well as a dessert using a range of Nestlé products.
Also last week, the Victorian Patisserie Trainee Challenge 2024 took place with six teams competing from different culinary schools around Victoria.
Each team was made up of two students, with Jessie Ng Wing Sze and Jennifer Laurence representing Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne.
Using the skills and knowledge taught by their respective institutes, the six teams had to design their own tart, entremet and eclairs before presenting them to a panel of judges.
Jessie and Jennifer’s creative flair and meticulous execution earned them the coveted gold medal, which also cemented Le Cordon Bleu as the winner of the overall competition.
These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our students, the expertise of our instructors and the comprehensive training provided by Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne. We congratulate all participants for their hard work and commend them for upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence.
