Hosco and Le Cordon Bleu to Hold Industry Forum Event

Le Cordon Bleu London is pleased to announce they will be holding an important online industry forum event to discuss the future of hospitality, in partnership with Hosco.

On 9th June Le Cordon Bleu senior lecturer, Nitin Radhakrishnan and Hosco’s Senior PR and Marcom Manager, Zhandra Fuentes, will be joined by a panel of industry experts to discuss the future of the hospitality industry by asking the question; The Great Reopening: How Prepared is Hospitality?

The hosts will be joined by experts from the industry, with guest speakers including Ragnar Fridriksson, Managing Director for The World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs); Zahra Al Yousuf, Talent Acquisition Manager at Jumeirah Group; and Dusti Guzman, Global HR Director for Zuma, Oblix and Roka.

Open to Le Cordon Bleu students, alumni and a wider global audience, this event will provide an international industry perspective on the direction that hospitality is heading in the wake of the global pandemic. Now that businesses have begun to reopen, although in an altered state of operations, the panel will discuss how prepared they are, particularly in terms of recruitment.

Research conducted ahead of the event reveals that in January, over 70% of hospitality employers were planning to restart hiring gradually in 2021, but how do their recruitment plans look today? 28% of hospitality employers report to be currently employing, however, Q2 2022 could see the peak of recruitment, and financial management continues to be the main priority for hospitality businesses, but workforce engagement has drastically increased in level of importance over the last quarter of 2021.

Looking at these facts, our panel will consider how consumer behaviour has transformed business models; how the talent pool has changed; what the latest hiring trends are and what new skills are needed. This will give participants valuable insight into how the hospitality job market has changed, and how they can best adapt to these changes.
