Le Cordon Bleu launches Perth

Le Cordon Bleu Perth, in partnership with the North Metropolitan TAFE, is pleased to announce the launch of two new degree programmes;

• Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management)
• Bachelor of Business (Convention and Event Management).

The Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) will provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to enter the ever-expanding culinary and gastronomic tourism industries. Individuals seeking employment in management, human resources and marketing roles within these industries, or the broader tourism sector will benefit enormously from this programme.

The Bachelor of Business (Convention and Event Management) will provide graduates with the opportunity to gain employment in the exciting world of event management. The design and management of programme and product launches, conferences, exhibitions, trade shows and festivals, all fall within the role of the event manager. Accordingly, this programme applies a holistic focus to the development of business management, creative thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship skills.

Highly skilled lecturers from Le Cordon Bleu will deliver the two degree programmes from the vibrant Perth Campus located in the centre of the cultural area of Northbridge, close to the heart of the city. It is the largest campus in the North Metropolitan TAFE network, and features a modern centre of specialisation dedicated to Travel and Tourism related studies. The centre has excellent teaching and student facilities including a gym, canteen and bookshop. Additional student services are offered at other on-campus locations.

The first intake of students for both degree programmes will occur in Term 3, 2016 (July) and the second intake in Term 1, 2017. The exact dates for programme commencement are yet to be confirmed.

Tourism-related industries have experienced tremendous growth in Australia (and indeed globally) over recent years, and are critical to Australia’s ongoing economic sustainability. Australian tourism research forecasts that this growth will continue over the next decade, providing an exciting and diverse range of job opportunities for passionate and committed programme graduates.
