A sweet way to pay it forward on International Nurses Day

Le Cordon Bleu Australia takes part in International Nurses Day
On Friday, May 12, hospital staff around the world celebrated International Nurses Day which is observed every year to mark the contribution nurses make to society.

This year, Le Cordon Bleu Australia gave back to the community by donating baked goods to local hospital heroes across Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

Our chefs worked around the clock to bake tarts, cakes, cookies and friands and delivered them to thousands of nurses across the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in New South Wales and Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria.

“Nurses represent the largest healthcare profession in the world and are the soul of any healthcare organisation,” Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide chef Paul Gillis said.

“Many of us here at Le Cordon Bleu have been in the care of nurses at some point in our lives, and this was just a small way we could repay the favour and show our appreciation for them.”

On behalf of Le Cordon Bleu Australia, we thank all hardworking nurses on the frontline. Watch our Instagram reel from the Adelaide campus below or visit @lecordonbleuaustralia on Instagram.
