As part of our 130-year celebrations, we are touring New Zealand high schools across the country to inspire young kiwis. Compared to regular kitchen classes, our demonstrations show an entirely new level of the culinary arts, one that students can now realise they have the potential to reach.
Technical Director Chef Lambert preparing alongside his assistants Dana and Jess.
Orewa College was our first stop, located north of Auckland City, Orewa is a beautiful region of New Zealand with stunning beaches only a short walk from the college. In the past when hosting demonstrations in the Auckland CBD we were impressed with the many students from Orewa College who would make the journey to experience our classes. There was no better location for the first of many high schools we will be touring this year.
For this series of demonstrations, chef Lambert revealed the secrets to making the perfect macaron. He emphasised the procedures and thought processes needed to create delicate confectionary, going beyond simple step-by-step guides.

Since our demonstration with Orewa we have also provided a macaron workshop for Kristin School. With many more on-site demonstrations to come, we encourage any students or faculty within New Zealand to contact us and join us in celebrating 130 years of culinary excellence.
Thank you to all the staff at Orewa College for working closely with us to provide this opportunity for your students.
