  • Q: What kind of visa do I need to apply?

    A: To study in Thailand, international students are required to have a non-immigrant ED visa. Only International students enrolled as full-time students at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit are eligible to apply for a non-immigrant ED visa. Le Cordon Bleu Dusit provides students with all necessary documentation to apply for this visa. All non-Thai students must notify their places of residence to the Bureau of Immigration every 90 days. Students are recommended to process this notification at least 7 days before the 90-day deadline. A fine of THB 500 per day is imposed payable for each day after the deadline has passed. *Student handbook link to page 22

  • Q: What do you have to prepare prior to traveling to Thailand?

    A: The foreigner or non-Thai nationals must carry the necessary documents as follows: Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Thai embassy or consulate in your current location. COVID 19 Health Certificate issued by relevant authority and the COVID-19 medical test result. The test must be conducted no longer than 72 hours before the date of travel. This certificate is also necessary at the airline’s check-in counter for a boarding pass to be issued. COVID 19 Insurance covering treatment and medical expenses related to COVID-19 with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD. Confirmation of reservation of an ASQ Hotel.

  • Q: How to obtain a Certificate of Entry?

    A: The foreigner must apply for the certificate of entry from the local Thai Embassy or consulate at least 10 working days prior to the intended date of travel and must submit the following documents to the consular section of the Thai embassy or consulate:
    • Passport
    • Original or copy of the valid work permit or Letter issued by the relevant authorities of Thailand indicating permission for entry into Thailand for work purposes (if applicable).
    • Copy of the valid non-immigrant visa or extension of stay based on the Non-immigrant visa.
    • Copy of the Travel Health Insurance Policy covering treatment and medical expenses related to COVID-19 with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.
    • Copy of flight details of the intended date of travel. The Thai Embassy or Consulate may also refer you to the available repatriation flights.

    NOTE: Some embassies will reject your COE application if you do not have the correct format for Health Insurance.

  • Q: What to do upon entry to Thailand?

    A: When entering Thailand, the foreigner or non-Thai national is requested to follow the Thai authority’s guidelines for preventing the COVID-19 pandemic as follows:
    • Present the Certificate of Entry to the Thai authorities at the airport of arrival
    • Present the COVID-19 PCR test result certificate
    • Present the completed and signed Declaration Form
    • Present the COVID 19 travel insurance policy
    • Present the valid non-immigrant visa and work permit (if applicable)
    • The foreign national will be subjected to a mandatory state quarantine at a government-designated ASHQ Hotels under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health at his or her own expense

    A: TM.30 is Notification of residence of foreigners.

  • Q: Who must submit TM30 Thailand reports?

    A: The law requires Thai landlords and hotel owners to report any foreign tourists or tenants staying on their property.

  • Q: When must you report?

    A: The notification of residence of foreign nationals within 24 hours.

  • Q: How to report the TM30?

    A: You can be made in a number of ways to make the notification as convenient as possible:
    – In person at the respective office, or
    – Through an authorized person at the respective office, or
    – By registered mail, or

  • Q: If I am in Thailand and hold a tourist visa, can I apply for study?

    A: Can apply for study due to the laws of Thailand there is a waiver to convert to a student visa without leaving Thailand due to the COVID-19 situation.

  • Q: How much would the cost be for switching the visa?

    A: 2,000 Bath.

  • Q: How long it takes for transfer to ED visa?

    A: It takes 3 weeks after you leave ASQ.

  • Q: Would there be any extra cost for switching Tourist Visa to Student Visa?

    A: There is a visa extension fee if the remaining visa is less than 15 days. (Visa extension fee is 1,900 bath.)

  • Q: Why should extension of tourist visa one time before extension student visa once?

    A: Because of the legal requirements, if you want to change the visa type, you have to have the remaining days before the visa expires more than 15 days. (All the step we need to wanting document from MOE. Then your visa maybe can’t enough in the first time.)
