Beat the Price Increase
Le Cordon Bleu London will be raising the prices of all diploma programmes on Sunday 1st December 2024 as part of the annual price rise.
Le Cordon Bleu London have announced the 12 finalists who have made it to the last round of the Wine Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu, competing for a chance to win a place on the renowned Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management, a once in a lifetime opportunity for the most ardent wine enthusiasts.
Following the semi-final which was held online in June, 12 contestants have been selected to compete in the final on 29th July at the institute in Holborn, London. Finalists will complete an interview with Le Cordon Bleu London's Wine Development Manager and Master Sommelier, Matthieu Longuere, and fellow industry experts, alongside a written challenge designed to gauge their passion for the topic. Once the final challenges and judging are complete, there will be an award ceremony to crown the winner, followed by a drinks reception.
The institute is searching for aspiring wine professionals with a genuine passion for the industry, to give them the chance to follow their dreams and aspirations. An impressive list of partners are involved in the scholarship, including Louis Latour, Gusbourne, Smith & Sheth, Pyramid Valley, Viu Manent, Banfi, HIDE and Hedonism. The winner will be awarded a place on the Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management, with exclusively curated internship placements following completion. The six-month diploma provides an in-depth knowledge of wine, its integration with gastronomy and their management within a commercial environment. The programme is led by Matthieu and features guest lectures from leading names in the wine and hospitality industry.
Following completion of the diploma, the scholarship winner will go on to take part in an exclusively curated internship programme. The three-month internship features placements at HIDE and Hedonism Wines, giving the winner experience working in both restaurant and retail wine, and the opportunity to apply their newly gained knowledge in a real-world setting.
In addition to the diploma and internship, the winner will receive a wealth of wine-based prizes from the scholarship partners. Guests at the event will have the opportunity to discover some of the wonderful products from the partners, as they enjoy drinks and canapes at a reception hosted by Le Cordon Bleu.
