Work Entitlement Guidelines for Degree Students (Bachelor or Master's)
Students enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's program may generally work up to 48 hours per fortnight during teaching periods, with greater flexibility during designated official breaks.
Please note that breaks indicated on individual timetables (such as non-teaching or study weeks) are not always considered official breaks for the purpose of work entitlements. During these periods, standard in-session work limitations are expected to apply, and students should remain available for academic engagement as required. These periods are distinct from formal holiday breaks.
In-session periods may include;
- Enrolment in standard or non-standard study periods, including teaching and assessment periods; and
- Participation in units or subjects that contribute to course progress or credit.
