New year, new skills: Le Cordon Bleu Australia releases new 2025 short courses
This holiday season, Le Cordon Bleu Australia is bringing the gift of culinary excellence to budding food enthusiasts across the country.
Le Cordon Bleu would like to extend a warm welcome to Byron Finnerty, our recent Australian scholarship recipient.
Byron, heralding from Melbourne has always been passionate about gastronomy and nutrition, having completing his study in nutrition and science at university. His last four years were spent travelling, working with chefs around the world as a crew member on luxury yachts. This cemented his love for the food and travel, leading him back to Australia to enter and pursue his dream of becoming a chef through the reality TV show MasterChef.
Byron has since worked in the food industry developing his skills working with some of Australia and the industries finest Chef’s including Phillipa Sibley at Prix Fix and Ben Cooper at Chin Chins and Kong in Melbourne. Byron has also been involved with numerous charities raising over $8,000 with a friend for the royal children's hospital last year. Recently, Byron moved to Sydney where he is completing his study at Le Cordon Bleu.
His eating values have stayed true throughout his life, concentrating on a conscious diet high in fresh produce and low in meats and processed foods.
