Non-immigrant Education Visa

The Thai Ministry of Education (MOE) is responsible for making decisions on student visa applications and issuing the “Pre-Approval Letter” for overseas students applying for an education visa (Non-Immigrant ED).

Students will receive a “Pre-Approval Letter” in their confirmation of enrollment package from Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Student Services department by post. Students are recommended to arrange their visa application 4 to 6 weeks prior to the commencement date of the course.

In order to be eligible for “Pre-Approval Letter” applicants must follow the instructions and complete and submit the required documentation:

• LCBD Student Services will send you a Letter of Offer and the following two forms which need to be filled out, signed, and returned to the school – they are
  1) ‘Personal History Check’
  2) ‘Purpose of Attending the Course’
• Students must make the tuition fee payment and submit proof of the payment. Payment details and instructions can be found on the Letter of Offer.
• Once LCBD has receive proof of payment, we will then issue you the ‘Confirmation of Enrolment’ along with the ‘Pre-Approval’ letter which you need to take to your local Thai Embassy or Consulate when you apply for your education visa.

Applying for Visa

To apply for a Non Immigrant “ED” visa – students should contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate within their country for application inquiries.
