Le Cordon Bleu London recently held an exciting cocktail demonstration in partnership with Rockstar Spirits. The event was hosted by multi-award-winning rum producer and the founder and CEO of Rockstar Spirits, Thomas G Hurst.
Tom discussed the history and evolution of rum, followed by a presentation of the Rockstar Spirits range and a demonstration on how to make three different styles of rum cocktail. Guests then enjoyed a cocktail reception with the opportunity to sample some of the drinks and meet with Tom.
Tom Hurst has spent 25 years in the drinks industry working for major companies such as Heineken and William Grants. Tom was part of the team that launched brands in the UK such as Sailor Jerry, Hendricks Gin, Monkey Shoulder and Russian Standard as well as managing the likes of Remy Cointreau and Piper Heidsieck Champagne before launching Rockstar Spirits in 2018 with the goal of creating the most innovative rum portfolio in the UK. Rockstar Spirits is the most awarded flavoured rum brand at the Global Spirits masters with countless recommendations and advocates in both TV and print media experts since launch. Tom’s successful Dragons Den pitch cemented him as one of the up and coming distributors in the UK spirit market today.
