Senior Lecturer and Higher Education Programmes Manager
Dr Sarkis Nehme trained in the culinary arts and hospitality. He studied in Lebanon, France, Germany and the UK and was awarded two Diplomas in Hotel and Restaurant Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, a Double Master’s degree in International Hospitality and a PhD in Environmental Sciences – Food Sustainability.
He began his career in 2006, rapidly climbing the ladder to the position of executive chef. Dr Nehme worked as a chef and consultant for many innovative restaurant concepts in the Middle East and Europe before moving into teaching. In 2020, he was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in the United Kingdom.
Dr Nehme honed his knowledge during an international career in technical and higher education and has supervised several undergraduate and Masters’ research projects.
He is the author of a number of works relating to food and sustainability and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in the United Kingdom.
In 2024, Dr Sarkis Nehme joined Le Cordon Bleu Paris as Senior Lecturer and Higher Education Programmes Manager.
